Advanced Topics in Intelligent Control and Sensor Network Systems
ST: CS504:
This is an advanced topics course in intelligent control and sensor systems for both wired and wireless infrastructures. The focus is on the development of relevant tools, methods, and design of control and sensor network systems. The course will develop a theoretical framework for nonlinear solution techniques that are commonly used in real-time processing of input-driven controls. Symbolic processing, optimization techniques, aspects of fuzzy logic and neural network intelligent control, and distributed Internet communication principles will be emphasized. Models of distributed protocols will be studied. Prereq: Graduate standing or instructor permission.

Graduate Course Emphasis Area: CS Theory

We will be talking about:
Intelligent, autonomous robots. Unmanned Vehicle Systems. Aerial/underwater unmanned vehicles. Systems that can perform complex tasks autonomously. Systems based on computational intelligence (artificial neural networks and fuzzy logic). Systems capable of learning and making intelligent decisions on their own. Distributed systems. Intelligent sensors.
