    Course outline:
CS4004/504 ST: The course will cover reliability, survivability, fault-tolerance, and performability concepts and applications. Review of modeling the effects of reliability on performance, performability measures will be provided. Special consideration will be given to reliability & performability issues in software and hardware such as FlexRay systems.
Course will be enhanced with case studies. Portion of the course will be organized in seminar fashion - students will be required to provide a review on selected pinnacle papers and research done in the area of performability. Course will end with future directions, such as computational technologies in reliability analysis. Prereq: perm.
